Winter activities

Connection to a net of hiking routes right beside the holiday cottages. In winter there are tracks for skiing and walking. The tracks are serviced daily, if required, and tracks are also made on the frozen lake. Shelters for resting are presently being built in the area. Skiing lessons and ski waxing instruction on request. Skiing at night is also possible!

Popular activities include snow-shoe hiking in a varying terrain, ice-hole fishing on the lake and ice-hole swimming. Sledge sliding and snow-sculpting for children - why not for the adults!

Snowmobile safaris are arranged for example in the nearby located town of Suolahti. The official route passes at about 7 kilometres from the Hinkkala Farm. Horse riding is possible in the closely located communes of Rautalampi and Konnevesi. A riding trek to the Sahala Manor with charming Icelandic horses is a unique experience also in winter. No previous experience is required!
